October in Canada

My boyfriend and I took an 8-day trip up north in mid-October. The plan was to first go to Seattle and visit family, then go to Banff National Park for a few days, and then bounce around to Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver to explore and watch some live hockey games. The weather for this trip was anticipated to be the coldest in Banff with lows in the mid-10s and highs in the 40s. The warmest days would be in Seattle, where the lows were in the mid-40s and the highs were in the high 60s. We packed to expect rain.

In reality, we faced much colder temperatures and ~10 inches of snow. As a result, I didn't end up using my 3/4 sleeve shirt and long-sleeve black top as much as anticipated as stand-alone items.
